Self-soothing Through Touch

June 30, 2020 by Melissa Leave a Comment

Let’s continue with self-soothing and the ways to do it. The last time we talked about self-soothing, we talked about taste.
Touch is another way to self soothe. Notice how things feel. You can relax in the sun, do some stretching, have a massage, or go swimming. Enjoy a bath or wrap up in a blanket, put on some favorite soft clothes, and be mindful of the way these things feel. Petting the soft, warm fur of our pets is also a wonderful way to self-soothe through touch.
